Blue Jeans and Tweed Jacket
The first time I laid my eyes on this tweed jacket I felt my eyes were being glued. No matter how much I shrugged it off, I kept stealing glances until I gave in. Who cares about my weekly budget I thought, I would be more regretful if I pass it up. It would cost more actually if I will come back for it later, my time and my effort I think are priceless :) So I've convinced myself successfully.

Places to Hang Around in Sydney
As I've covered the 2 famous harbours of Sydney in my previous posts, now I will show the places to hang around in the metro. I'm in the wandering mood as of the moment since my niece is visiting so you can practically see me in different places often times than normal. In here, I pretty much acted like a visitor to my own city. Hey, what's not to love about it, Sydney is beautiful to sight see. Take note, these locations can be covered in one day depending how fast you stroll and how easily you get bored and move to the next. So here goes the list.

Distressed Jeans for Day and Night
Surprise surprise, in case you haven't noticed it's the first time I wear jeans in my blog. Not that I don't wear jeans but after the creation of tights and jeggings I prefer to slip on black tights as much as possible and enjoy the feeling that I'm still in my couch even if I'm outside running errands. But that has to break for now as I jump on the distressed jeans bandwagon.

High Tea for Mother's Day
Sometimes we just need to let go from our inhibitions and harsh confinement of ourselves. I can be talking about strict diet, extreme routines and rigorous exercise for which in this case I surely mean about eating regime. I think high tea is one of those really not needed kind of meals but is just so nice to indulge every now and then. And that’s what I exactly did one Saturday afternoon where I dragged my mum and my niece to a sugar and cream loaded food treat, layer upon and layer of it.

Black Silhouette
Unlike typical dinner dates with solitude and pure enjoyment with each other's company this one we had was chaperoned by our toddler. Due to lack of babysitter we're left of no choice but to tag him along. In fairness he made us last from entree to dessert although we had to shorten each course and just barely made it. I had to dress up for the night in black as opposed to our anniversary lunch (previous post) where I wore the whitest of white.

White Lace and Promises
You may wonder what is this about, how can a lace dress connect to promises? Such a strong word to incorporate with outfit and fashion :)

Palm Beach Birthday
I’m not over yet with my love affair with the beach, I know I was living in the beach almost everyday on my recent trip to the Philipiines. When I got back to Oz land, been beach bumming every week too. So here’s the first of my beach chronicles, hey tell me when you get sunburn from looking at my sunshiny posts from now on. Ok, but just let me be, pretty soon it will be Autumn down under and then I’ll start layering up and hibernating.

Into the Blue at Crimson Resort
How can I leave Cebu without going to its beaches? Oh well, I didn’t this time as right after 2 nights of sleep at Radisson Blu we packed our bags again and headed to Mactan, the host island of Cebu’s finest resorts. Thus, we began our truly R&R experience in the Phils, another 2 nights in Crimson Resort and Spa would suffice our love for the beach as we thought. But not really as we embarked to our Boracay adventure after this stint in Crimson. But as I already blogged about my Boracay story in my previous post here, this Cebu resort is my post of the week.

Celebrating Father’s Day
Father’s Day is observed in Oz and NZ on the 1st Sunday of September and I think in Sweden as well. It’s the first time we celebrated outside the house ever since Jace was born, for obvious reason and that’s because he was only 3 mos and a bit during last year’s Father’s day. I said obvious since you can never make me go out with a new baby just to dine in a restaurant. With babies less than 6 months I only go outside the house for their doctor’s appointment. If he can’t be on a high chair yet then restaurants are off limits. I’m sure there will be plenty of time later for him to try out the kid’s meal when he can actually chew the food in the comfort of the resto’s high chair. So last Sunday, we went to Outback Steakhouse since the boys had voted for it. Hubby went for the steak while the boys were up for the ribs and milkshakes. Well everyone was not disappointed including Jace who even enjoyed eating the lettuce from his dad’s salad. Me, I was after for the dessert portion, my only regret was I should have ordered the bigger size haha.

A Gastronomic Weekend
We were cooking up a storm last weekend from Friday night til Sunday night, obviously no rest for the gastronomically wicked. We normally treat our kids to McDonalds on Friday nights (we call that a treat, bad parents :-)) to spare us from washing (aha there you go) instead I cooked salmon and baked broccoli with cheese. On top of that I made a rich chocolate mud cake that I also brought to our connection group on Saturday. I tell you it’s the best tasting mud cake ever, I’m happy that I finally got the perfect recipe. Better than any store bought, well, I always stop and buy rich and dark chocolate cakes and brownies in every café that I see around Sydney.
Doesn't it look moist and inviting? |

Movie time - Jurassic World
Few Saturdays ago my family (minus baby Jace) went to watch the movie Jurassic World, something that we haven’t done for quite some time. This movie sparks an interest with us because of its blockbuster predecessor Jurassic Park and it’s a family movie so we can’t go wrong. It has a bit of science lesson too which is good for students but not according to my oldest son. I don’t know what’s with the teenage hormones as nothing is good for him anymore; nevertheless, he came with us because he had no choice. It’s a family thing and he had nothing more to say.
