Velvet Dress and Pleated Skirt @ Sammydress

How to wear the velvet dressChristmas is upon us and while my friends from the Northern Hemisphere are clothed in layers I am putting away my jackets, coats and fur vests in favour of playsuits and lace dresses. Luckily, there are outfits that can be worn for both sides and ends of the world and these are the velvet dresses and midi pleated skirts. Only a matter of styling and the kind of footwear to slip on one is ready to face the kind of day it will be.

Over-the-knee Boots

over-the-knee boots I've been waiting to wear these over-the-knee boots from Tony Bianco which I got at the end of summer to prep for the cold season. But there's just wasn't an occasion to strut them aside from going to the beaches and strolling the city. So I created an occasion and that was for hubby's birthday dinner in a restaurant. He's my photographer most of the time and he normally checks if I dress appropriately. But for his special day he can't say no if I dress like this :)

Off the Shoulder + Denim Skirt

Here's my take on the off the shoulder trend which I paired with a button down denim skirt. They're both from a known Aussie brands, Sabo Skirt and Sportsgirl respectively. Love the soft fabric of the top and it's uncreasable which is the exact opposite of the denim skirt.

Cargo Vest

One of the top colours that should be in your wardrobe that will work for every occasion is Olive Green. The utilitarian trend seems to be invading the fashion world for quite a few years now.

Lovin' Cebu

Stepping back in the Philippines after 3 years was a breath of fresh air, a warm air though even when it’s December. It’s the coolest temperature the country can offer and I always reiterated that it’s the best month to travel to the Phils. But I would change it to January now because of some low pressures we experienced that delayed our flights due to heavy rains. Being in Cebu was astonishing as it is although we got there at 1am the next day from our departure in Sydney. See the delay? But it was replaced with smiles when we were greeted by our young relos and friends who were patiently waiting for us in Radisson Blu Hotel lounge area.
