Obviously, I'm going crazy with embroidery trend and there's no sign of stopping. I've had so many floral pieces I showcased in my blog already but let me add this rose embroidered mini skirt to my list. Embroidery designs are large, high-contrast and often multi-coloured, hence, they are not limited to a single colour. There is nothing subtle about this trend, it is designed for maximum impact.
I am happy that most embroidery pieces have red colour in it like this skirt that I got from Forever 21. Red is my most favourite colour, in case I haven't said it enough already hehe, and here I paired it with a red jacket and red lace-up sandals.
It's getting chilly in Sydney and layering is a must. My jackets, coats and cardigans are taken out from hibernation and will be taking over my contents mostly from now on. The best thing with embroidery trend is that it's decent and can be worn pretty much anywhere. I wore this outfit to work and found this nice spot in the Royal Botanic garden. How cool is this area with the Government House and Sydney Harbour in the same location, don't you agree?

That is the cutest rose embroidered skirt, Mercy. It looks great on you! Love the bold colors, and your shoes are whimsical and cute as well. It seems that embroidery never goes out of style. I always notice the backgrounds in your posts - wonderful old buildings, churches, water fountains, etc. The Botanical Gardens are so green and groomed and beautiful overlooking the water.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the week, Mercy.

That skirt is such a great find! I love that that much of the embroidered pieces we've been seeing have red in them, too; it creates somewhat of a D&G feel, doesn't it?! Sexy, yet sophisticated, yet playful, love it! Thanks for sharing, beauty, and I hope you're having a great week so far!
