High Tea in High Places

One good and distinctive attribute of High Tea is that it a not designed for one person. How lonely could that be if you indulge in High Tea by yourself? It probably looks alright if it's a buffet kind but it is more enjoyable if it's a seat-in and shared with somebody or with a group of friends.

A shared meal turns out to be always the best especially over a canapé of pastries, ribbon sandwiches and gourmet chocolate selection. Nothing could be sweeter though than being in the company of people you love to be with. It could be an endless afternoon chatting about anything, life, work or even just about the clothes we were wearing :)

This was my second high tea this year and it's always an afternoon delight to remember. It's an opportunity to glam up too and take a lot of outfit photos and of course the selection of finger food.

 

 

Although, there is no dress code but I always like to dress up like a lady :) I got this black and white stripes stretchy dress from H&M weeks ago and supposed to wear it in an event that we ended up not going. The next opportunity I had was this high tea but at that time it was on sale already in the store. Bad idea to hoard on something, make sure to wear straight away your purchases while it's on the hot item list :)

 I paired it with white tweed jacket from Forever New to create a more primp look. I think nothing beats Valentino rockstud pumps to project that doll-up effect. And I wore my favourite accessories with this outfit as it added that bit of extra glamour.
