After lunch, we walked few metres to the beach where a wide stretch of rock pool was waiting. It is a 50 metre pool with a timber boardwalk separating the main lap pool from the rest of the pool. Known as Narrabeen Rock Baths, this is considered as one of the famous ocean pools in Sydney because of its distinctive boardwalk. Obviously, the water comes from the ocean so it gets replaced during high tide, no stagnant water at all.
On the edge clinging to the chains for dear life. |
On the middle of a scorching day the water was cool and refreshing. Sydney beaches even on a summer day are always cold because the water originates from the Tasman Sea. But if you take a dip and never leave the water then there is no shivering that is happening :). I could go and on describing how fun the place was but I will let the pictures do the talking.

Not only was the swimming fun, looking for a swell backdrop to pose was even more fun :) Here I was in the high rock wall which was right beside the pool.
So when you’re around Sydney and looking for a relaxing at the same time picturesque place to chill, consider this awesome spot.
